Wrinkle Treatments
As we age, our faces naturally lose subcutaneous fat. The facial muscles are then working closer to the skin surface, so smile lines and crow's feet become more apparent. The skin also stretches, adding to this loss of facial volume. Other factors that affect the facial skin include sun exposure, heredity, and lifestyle.
When Botox or Xeomin, also known as Botulinum toxin A, is injected directly into the underlying muscle, it stops muscle movement and thus causes a relaxation and softening of the skin creases. These dermal injections can be used to treat wrinkles, worry lines, frown lines and crow’s feet. Patients begin to see the full effect by two weeks, and optimal results last between three to four months.
Dermal fillers, such as Juvederm, Voluma, Belotero and Radiesse, help to diminish facial lines and restore volume and fullness in the face. Fillers can be used to enhance the cheeks and shallow contours, soften facial creases and wrinkles and improve the appearance of recessed scars.

Made by Allergan and the most popular form of botulinum toxin, BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles to soften frown lines and crow’s feet.
JUVÉDERM®

JUVÉDERM® is one of many dermal fillers used to provide a smooth, long-lasting correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Juvederm contains hyaluronic acid, a substance that naturally occurs throughout the body and skin.
BELOTERO®
A hyaluronic acid dermal filler made by Merz, BELOTERO® is injected into the skin to smooth and soften wrinkles and folds. Belotero is slightly less viscous (softer) than Juvederm.
Juvederm VOLUMA XC®

Voluma® is a volumizing hyaluronic acid filler FDA-approved for adding fullness to the cheeks. This not only fills areas of volume loss in the cheeks, but acts to raise the features of the lower face, reducing wrinkles and folds caused by gravity. This also reduces the need for additional fillers in the lower face. The effects of voluma can last as long as 2 years.
RADIESSE®

RADIESSE® is a volumizing filler for wrinkle reduction comprised of Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in an aqueous gel carrier. It provides a longer-lasting volume to help smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the creases that extend from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth).
